Of this loan agreement, two seta, each containing two

copies, one written in the Chinese language and the other in Japanese, shall be provided, and A and B shall each keep one

set. In case of doubt regarding the interpretation of the

provisions therein the Japanese version shall be considered

binding.

The Japanese banking group having at the instance of this

bank agreed to furnish money, and an agreement having been executed with your Excellency's Government on the 30th April, 1918, for the loan of 20,000,000 yen to be used in the improve- ment and extension of the telegraph system (wired), I have the honour to inform your Excellency that the following conditions have now been drawn up, which your Excellency's Govermont is

requested to accept for the period of the loan in question,
